stARTs in March was a month-long calendar of activities celebrating arts and culture on the North-West Coast.
Since our re-brand from Burnie Arts Council Inc to stARTs North-West, our group has had a dedicated focus on activating the arts and lifting the profile of the incredible artists we have all along the coast.
We were thrilled with the participation rate and enthusiasm for the project.
Burnie City Council came on board as a major sponsor, and we thank them for their support.
Waratah/Wynyard Council were also very supportive of events held in their municipality and assisted in spreading the word west of the Cam River boundary!
Studio 44 were also very generous in sponsoring several events.
We kicked off our month-long calendar with a GLAM in the ART-fternoon event at a private residence in the Burnie CBD.
The event was unique, wonderful and delicious… with artwork from 33 artists hung throughout the home, music and dancing in the garden, and divine food throughout the afternoon.
